Beautiful house, fantastic sea views, excellent breakfast but most of all our hosts were lovely genuine people. Definitely the nicest guest house I've stayed in and would recommend the Dunes highly.

Stunning sea views from the breakfast room. We were able to watch whales from there. You can sit there for hours. Great!! Nice and very clean rooms. We had a great time! Excellent service and very friendly hosts. Definitely a place to come back!!

Lovely B&B sitting high above the Umdloti beach with views across the Indian Ocean to India! We were extremely comfortable and found Richard, Glenda and Michelle the most charming and accommodating hosts. Dolphin Dunes is well named - we viewed a school of dolphins from our breakfast table - and in season dolphins and whales are regular traffic past the window! We can certainly recommend this luxurious B&B for its proximity to Uldloti, to Umschlanga and for easy access too to Durban. E ... more

Description
The guesthouse is set on 'The Dune' of Umdloti on the Sugar Coast overlooking the Indian Ocean. The large magnificent indigenous garden is abundant with bird life and is visited by monkeys, mongooses and blue duikers.
We have 4 double en-suite rooms all with airconditioner, hairdryers, safe, DSTV, bar fridge, tea & coffee facilities and your own private deck.
Close to good restaurants, Gateway shopping centre and business parks, casinos, Ushaka, sports stadiums, valley of a thousand hills, ICC centre, cultural villages, crocodile farm, bird and snake parks and many other attractions, all within comfortable travelling distance. 30 Minutes from the airport, 2 hour drive from big 5 country. This makes The Dune the ideal stepping-stone to the Kingdom of the Zulu.
We do not take children under 14 years.
