Taronga Cottage is nestled in the heart of Constantia’s rich heritage and luscious wine valleys and a close walk away from five of South Africa’s top wine estates. We are a one minute drive from the stylish Constantia Mall. It is in close proximity to Cape Town's top attractions such as the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, award winning restaurants and top golf courses. Taronga Cottage is a twenty minutes drive from Cape Town International Airport, the V and A Waterfront, Cape Town CBD and stunning beaches.

Taronga Cottage comprises two bedrooms which flow off the open plan living area and have sliding doors that open onto patios offering views of the mountain. You can also view the 400 square metre garden which is totally walled for your privacy. The open plan dining room and lounge leads onto a spacious patio, perfect for entertaining and dining outside under candlelight. Taronga Cottage provides a modern and comfortable environment where guests can rest and unwind, catch some warm African sun, take a walk through the vineyards or enjoy a glass of the Constantia Valley wine while watching the sun set behind the mountain.

Experience an outdoor playground that offers coastal walks, hiking, whale spotting, fishing, and surfing. Experience the breathtaking beauty of a valley where vineyard rows stretch up the mountainside. There are wonderful cycle tracks in the Tokai Forest for mountain bike enthusiasts. Scenic cycle tours of the Southern Peninsula can be arranged. Horse riding can be arranged in the forests or winelands nearby or alternatively in Hout Bay or along the Noordhoek beach. For sport enthusiasts, Newlands Rugby Stadium host international games throughout the year. Taronga is situated half way between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean, only a few minutes drive from either the famous Atlantic Seaboard beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay or the False Bay beaches of Muizenberg, Fish Hoek and St. James. Hout Bay and Llundudno beaches are easy to reach just over Constantia Neck. Boulders Beach in Simon's Town (home of the Jackass Penguin) can be visited en route to the Cape of Good Hope where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet.

Taronga Cottage is in approximately three minutes drive from each of the eight top wine producers making up the Constantia wine route (Groot Constantia, Klein Constantia, Buitenverwachting, Constantia Uitsig, Steenberg, Constantia Glen, Eagles Nest and High Constantia). On most of the wine estates you will find world class restaurants. There are a number of challenging golf courses nearby for the golf enthusiast to enjoy (Westlake, Clovelly, Steenberg, Royal Cape and Mowbray are all within easy reach).
