Suikerbossie is a beautiful newly-renovated 3 bedroom cottage in the heart of Riebeek-Kasteel in the stunning Swartland. Centrally situated on the corner of Skool and Van Riebeeck Streets, Suikerbossie is a stone's throw from world-class restaurants, pubs and shops and the renowned wine and olive boutiques of this unique village. In addition, world-class wine farms such as Kloovenburg and Allesverloren, offering their signature vintage wines, are a mere five minute drive away.       



The accommodation at Suikkerbossie is luxurious and has been designed with your every comfort in mind.  Well-known Cape interior decorator and owner of the fabulous local restaurant , Cafe Felix,  stylish Salome Gunter, was given carte blanche to design the beautiful interior with her usual quirky aplomb to fulfill your every need.  Each of the three beautifully appointed bedrooms can accommodate  two guests (1 queen size bed, 1 double bed and two single beds).  Each uniquely decorated bedroom invites you to relax and enjoy a rejuvenating night with 200 thread count Thornvale linen and the added comfort of an en-suite bathroom ( two bedrooms with an en-suite shower and the main bedroom with a Victorian bath).   To ensure that you remain chilled out during the hot summer each bedroom has a fan above the bed.  In winter you'll remain cosy and snug as each bathroom offers underfloor heating.           



The wrap-around farm stoep is is reminiscent of the 1920's and is the perfect spot to chill out and watch village life ( it goes without saying that you'll be sipping on a glass of the local Shiraz  whilst doing this!). The toep has been equipped with comfortable benches, chairs and a table - ideal for al fresco meals and, of course,  South Africa's favourite pass time, the  braai (otherwise known as the barbecue).



Inside, the cottage was modernized with a fully equipped kitchen ( including a gorgeous lime green Smeg fridge), stainless steel kitchen surfaces and a lovely traditional dining table.  The sitting room and dining room are open plan to the kitchen and create the ideal environment for total relaxation.  In summer, the colonial paddle fans keep you cool and in winter the fireplace ensures that you stay nice and toasty in front of the cosy fire.



The outside pergola offers a private relaxation area where eight people can enjoy the outdoors (and a lovely meal under the stars) around a wooden table.
