Rose and Rooster is a lovely Lodge. Anyone reading this should have no hesitation in booking if you are looking to stay in the area because you will not be disappointed. We were there four nights and could easily have stayed longer as there is plenty to do around and about. Our hosts Judy and Stefan were wonderful. Judy cooked the breakfasts and booked a tour of Spion Cop for us and made sure we had sun hats a sun lotion with us. How can you NOT stay over at The Royal? It's a unique experience & my tour group of 8 people - comprising of 5 different nationalities all enjoyed their stay. The food was truly excellent, staff were very friendly & the accommodation comfortable. Detail has been spent in keeping the Royal as 'old time' as possible, which makes it very appealing.
