Craig and Lesley Hunt welcome you to the peaceful setting of Southern Comfort, a lodge situated on seven hectares of pristine land overlooking a small lake with abundant bird life, only seven minutes away from the centre of Bulawayo.

Southern Comfort Lodge consists of six twin en suite rooms with tea/coffee facilities, a TV and fans. All the rooms are tastefully decorated in an ethnic design and overlook a small lake with an abundance of bird life, set in beautifully manicured gardens.

In the evening you can enjoy a drink with the owners in the Sneaky Rat Pub before moving onto a delectable three course dinner served by our competent and friendly staff. After a good nights sleep a full English breakfast awaits you to start the day.

Southern Comfort Lodge is ideally located and easily accessible. Airport transfers are available and tours of nearby areas of interest can be arranged.

The rooms were tidy and excellent. We really felt at home! The personnel was friendly and assist me very well. Hopefully in the future I will book for a second time. Keep up the good hospitality!

We had a very enjoyable two days. The place is very well maintained and spotlessly clean with lovely gardens. Staff are friendly and helpful. Loved the great log fire.

We were a traveling group of 5 who were en-route to Vic Falls and in need of an overnight place to stay. The grounds are nice and the houses very well maintained and look very nice. The rooms are comfortable, clean and basic, ideal for a one night. The bathrooms could welcome with a slight upgrade and the extra beds too. The rooms don't have air-conditioning and can therefore get cold. Shower curtains are short, and keeping the water in the bath tub was tricky. There are also no plugs ... more

We only had one night in Bulawayo and had NO IDEA what to expect on arrival at the lodge. We arrived with a very sick 3 year old, and were heading into the bush the next day. Lesley, the owner, could not have been more helpful in sorting us out with an excellent Dr in town. They were very friendly, welcoming and interesting.
