Highly recommended!

We arrived late afternoon on 6 September and were assisted by a very helpful lady at reception. She gave us all the info we needed, like time for dinner and breakfast. We planned to leave early the morning of 7 September and she offered to prepare breakfast packs, which we gladly accepted. The room was spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. A pleasure to stay

The reception at the Lodge was so exceptionally friendly (I forget the friendly lady's name). It was clean, basic, food good, service at the table very good. What a pleasure to stay there. Will stay there again anytime!

Description

The mystic little settlement of Solitaire does justice to its name in more than one way. As a stop-over on your tour of southwestern Namibia and on the way to Sossusvlei it is a must. The nostalgic general dealer offers home baked bread and apple pie, and of course, drinks, fuel, Tyre repair.
Solitaire Country Lodge offers 23 en-suite bedrooms, each with two single beds or double bed and 2 Family rooms each sleeping 5 people. All rooms face the central courtyard with the huge swimming pool in the centre. Camping, bungalows and limited meals are on offer in an environment with a unique character and unsurpassed hospitality.
Solitaire Country Lodge is only 83 km from Sesriem, Sossusvlei and is the ideal base from where to explore the Naukluft mountains.
Scenic drives and spectacular sunsets from the top of the escarpment can be taken through Spreetshoogte or Remhoogte pass.
