It was a fantastic, affordable unit and so close to the sea. We took small children with and the unit and garden was very safe and clean for them to roam around in.

Description
Silverdunes is situated in Betty's Bay, a peaceful coastal town in the indigenous Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve boasting 1 600 different species of indigenous plants.
Nestled between the ocean and rugged mountains, it is very conveniently situated, within easy reach of Cape Town (90 km) to the West, Cape Agulhas (the most southern tip of Africa) to the East, and the Winelands (100 km) to the North.
SilverDunes offer self catering and B&B in modern facilities. It is very close (2 min. walking) from the beach; 1km from the penguin breeding colony; 5km from the famous botanic... The minimum period of stay for 1 person is 3 days, and for 2 persons or more 2 days.
The area is renowned for its abundance of lobster in summer, and whale watching in winter.

The coastal vegetation supports a large variety of birds like falcons, black eagles, fish eagles etc. •Spectacular whale watching opportunities is to be found on the coastal road from Gordon’s Bay to Betty’s Bay •Enjoy sand boarding on the giant Blesberg dune – 2 km •Surf at Kogel Bay with its long lines of surf or at the Silversands beach itself •Angle from the rocks, the beach or from a boat for Galjoen,White Steenbras, Geelbek, etc. •Dive for rock lobster, alikreukel, periwinkle, octopus, oyster, etc. •Go kite surfing on the long Silversands beach – 2 min. •Betty’s Bay has a few leopards, the Cape clawless otter, Klipspringer, Grysbok, baboons, dassies hairs, etc. •The Flora Kingdom of Betty’s Bay includes Protea's, Restio's, gladiolus, Yellowwood, stinkwood and boekenhout trees. •Play golf at the delightful 9-hole golf course at Kleinmond – 15 km, or visit the world class Arabella Golf Estate which has one of the best courses in the country and boasts a Sheraton Hotel recently rated as one of the best hotels in the world – 30 km •Visit the most southern tip of Africa, Agulhas – 180 km. •Visit Hermanus, the whale capital of the world bustling with art/gift shops and a wide variety of restaurants – 50km •Come close to the whales with the 5-star boat based Dyer Island Cruises in Gansbay or Hermanus •Spot the legendary herd of wild horses grazing at the Kleinmond lagoon - 15km •For the adventurous, visit the shark-cage divers at Gansbay – 90 km or Hermanus – 50 km •A round trip through Franschhoek, Wellington, Paarl, Stellenbosch, returning via Gordon’s Bay will take you through the magnificent 6-passes tour with breathtaking views, waterfalls and picnic spots, along a most scenic marine/mountain drive, with lots of time to dine, do wine tasting and take pictures
