Description

Pockets Place is a small scale cattle farm with ducks, geese, chickens, and a small citrus orchard comprising mainly of lemon trees.

We pride ourselves on keeping the major portion of the farm as natural as possible. By preserving the indigenous flora, we attract a large variety of birdlife - 300 species in all. Several wild animals have been sighted on the farm including warthog, jackal, leopard, baboon, kudu, duiker, bush pig, and brown hyena.

Sundowners are a regular event for staff and visitors alike, affording everyone an opportunity to reflect on the day while enjoying spectacular sunsets and awesome views of the Magaliesburg Mountains towering over us.

We had a lovely holiday. It is a very peaceful location. We travelled with our two children, 2 & 6 yrs, both enjoyed our stay (of 2 nights only). Not too many animals but their dogs were fabulous. Joining us on our walks all the time. I would totally recommend this guest farm for those enjoying the art of doing nothing.

Had a wonderful time in the most relaxing place. The accommodation was private and comfortable, and the hosts were informal and friendly. Susi and Steve are brilliant company, and their kids are great fun. They are all easy going and leave you to do whatever works for you. I can recommend the facilities, especially the bar and the braai area. It is great for solitude or with a family and at the price it is unbelievable value for a time out. I will definitely be back. Thanks Steve and Susi.
