Pirates Creek is situated in the heart of the Garden Route on the Touw River in Wilderness, with 15 self-contained chalets. Our up market log cabins and wooden chalets are all self-catering, fully equipped and serviced daily, except weekends and public holidays. Each with own braai facilities and deck overlooking the tranquil river and mountains.

Pirates Creek offers Joplin's on Route 66 Resaurant; a child-friendly restaurant open daily for lunch and dinner.

The Garden Route has a Mediterranean Maritime climate, with moderately hot summers, and mild to chilly winters. It is one of the richest rainfall areas, most of which occurs in the winter months, which is brought by the humid sea-winds from the Indian ocean. Any time of the year is good for visiting the area, depending if you enjoy a peaceful retreat during the winter months or a bustling holiday destination during the summer months.

Come and relax on the river and enjoy fishing, canoeing, hiking, bird watching, or a breath taking sundowner braai experience.

The Self-Catering Chalets consist of two or three bedrooms with an open plan kitchen and bathroom. Televisions with Mnet are available in the two-bedroom living area, the three-bedroom living area as well as the three-bedroom main bedroom. A fully-equipped kitchenette is available in each chalet with tea and coffee-making facilities. The chalets are equipped with one heater per chalet and have river-front views and are serviced daily except weekends and public holidays.

We spent four nights there and the chalets are beautifully sited right on the river bank. Everything we needed was provided and the staff we helpful - a peaceful holiday haven!

Stay very good and certainly suitable for our needs. The N2 noise level however, was a bit of a put off. But must certainly praise your housekeeping staff on the cleanliness of the chalet - it was fantastic.
