Description

Situated in the heart of South Africa's beautiful Garden Route, nestled in the hills of the Phantom Pass just outside the picturesque town of Knysna, this self-catering cabin offers holidaymakers and tourists an unequalled getaway experience.

The King's Gift cabin is privately situated overlooking the forested Knysna River valley. This secluded getaway is ideal for those who want to enjoy nature, whilst not sacrificing the luxuries that will make for a truly unforgettable holiday experience. Under cover parking is provided as well as an outdoor barbecue area and swimming pool.

The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and private entrance from the back deck. The 'lavender room' awaits with crisp, fragrant linen and freshly laundered towels. The west wing bedroom also has a private entrance and en-suite bathroom, and the two single beds can be joined if necessary. The kitchen is fully equipped, and DStv is included. Should you prefer to go out at night, nearby Knysna has many world-class restaurants, a bustling waterfront and exciting nightlife.

The extra little details you find at Phantom River View is testimony to the love and care that went in to providing guests with an especially memorable holiday. Each bedroom faces onto spectacular views overlooking the valley. The loft is situated above the lounge. Two single beds in the loft provide additional sleeping space. It can be separated from the lounge area, and also doubles as a reading room.

Down by the riverside you may discover the peaceful contentment that has drawn many city folk to relocate to the Knysna area in recent years. The Knysna forest has inspired authors and artists, and is in part a nature reserve. The nearby estuarine wetland and eco reserve is home to over 150 bird species and a variety of small game.

The 120-year-old mining town (now a ghost town) of Millwood is within short driving distance in the direction of Rheenendal.

We loved our stay at Lulama - it was better than we expected. It was so quiet and peaceful and the house was spacious, clean and had spectacular views. We would love to go back.
