The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and private entrance from the back deck. The 'lavender room' awaits with crisp, fragrant linen and freshly laundered towels. The west wing bedroom also has a private entrance and en-suite bathroom, and the two single beds can be joined if necessary. The kitchen is fully equipped, and DStv is included. Should you prefer to go out at night, nearby Knysna has many world-class restaurants, a bustling waterfront and exciting nightlife.

The Knysna forest has inspired authors and artists, and is in part a nature reserve. The nearby estuarine wetland and eco reserve is home to over 150 bird species and a variety of small game.

The 120-year-old mining town (now a ghost town) of Millwood is within short driving distance in the direction of Rheenendal.
