Honeymoon
Excellent accommodation, food and atmosphere in a beautiful natural environment. The private spa bath on the deck of the honeymooner's room was wonderful.

Great - genuinely right in the forest. Amazing room, even better bathroom with both shower and bath feeling like they are almost outside due to the massive windows.
Very good food, couldn't possibly finish all 6 courses - definitely a remote, romantic location.
Massive wind and rain storm hit while we were staying which made it even more magical.
One word of warning - hold onto your toast at breakfast, the monkeys know what they want and they are very fast!!!

Good start to a honeymoon
Phantom Forest Eco Reserve is fantastic in the sense that their service is impeccable, their rooms luxurious and setting exquisite with wonderful views and beautiful decor. The staff are very professional with very good manners. The food was also delicious and the massages we received were fabulous. It is highly rated internationally, and with good reason.

The Phantom Forest Eco Reserve, on the southern Cape coast of South Africa, in the heart of the magnificent Garden Route... whispers a very special magic. Nestling in the Afromontane Forest, with endless views, shared only with our Fish Eagles, the large and elevated luxury 'tree suites' are an African celebration of natural textures. Fill your senses with the enchantment of the Phantom Forest from the secretive Bushbuck, shy tiny Duiker, and flashy Knysna lourie, to the evocative 'tree suites' a feast for the soul from our sensual forest bathrooms where one can gaze at the African night sky while listening to the music of Nature to savoring the stunning International cuisine served in the Forest Boma or feasting Moroccan style at the 'Chutzpah' tingling the taste buds with the exotic flavours of North Africa to getting in touch with your spirit at the Body Boma where our therapists will pamper you from head to toe. Perhaps you may decide to take a picnic paddling up the river...or maybe a soak in the Bubble Barrel or maybe a cocktail or two at the Eyrie watching the sun set over the lagoon or maybe a lazy read by one of the pools or……… Dinner in the Forest Boma is a 6 course gourmet feast (Whole menu change nightly). Cuisine style is new age/international with local flavour and influence. For strict vegetarians (i.e. no fish) and vegans, we do require advance notice. The cost is R250-00 per person. (Excluding drinks & gratuity). We have an exciting Moroccan eatery/restaurant we also have an exciting Moroccan style eatery called the Chutzpah! Cuisine style is North African/Moroccan, 6 courses are served feasting style. Cost is R250-00 pp excl. drinks and gratuity. Open for full service including lunch from October to May. The Body Boma offers treatments such as Full Body Massage, Reiki, Shiatsu, Swedish, Facials etc, and a wet treatment area (Vichy Shower) with mineral and mud wraps. Treatments are not inclusive in the tariff. Should you be interested in treatments do make enquires at time of booking.
