Wonderful week-end away!

We definitely enjoyed our stay at Ntwala Island Lodge. It is one of the most beautiful places ever. We have never felt so relaxed. The tranquility of the island and it's accommodating peacefulness will draw us back time and again. Wonderful staff with fabulous food and good wine. We would defintely recommend Ntwala to anyone in great need of escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday city life. Thank you for a most memorable experience and see you soon!

Description

We at Islands in Africa Safaris (IIAS) are extremely proud to bring you an opportunity to experience another unique island in Africa. Ntwala Island Lodge is situated in Namibia on an unusual group of islands within the Mambova rapids of the Zambezi River, where it meets the Chobe River. These small islands offer complete exclusivity and isolation, and boast an amazingly rich biodiversity, and overall tropical feel with palm trees and white sands.

The lodge will be ultra luxurious and only cater for eight guests at a time (four suites), ensuring a high degree of personalized service, and keeping in line with the low impact tourism policy of IIAS. Ensuring the ethos of IIAS; guest choice, comfort and privacy are paramount. Activities at Ntwala will be predominantly water borne and privately guided, and the close and convenient proximity to Chobe National Park ensures guests will have exclusivity and a comprehensive wildlife experience. Each suite will have a boat and guide to ensure individual choice, flexibility and privacy.

Our staff are handpicked from the local communities, and individuals are already in training, as part of our ongoing commitment to local upliftment and empowerment.

Ntwala Island Lodge has four large, suite styled rooms, each with private plunge pools; en suite facilities with feature bath in atrium; indoor and outdoor shower; his & hers feature basins and private sala over the water. In addition to indoor/outdoor lounge and dining facilities with open fireplace, the main complex will have a sunken theatre style kitchen for chef interaction, and a walk-in wine cellar.

2009 USD Transfer rates

Due to the prevailing fuel price hikes, we have been notified by our trusted suppliers of an unscheduled increase in transfer costs to our lodges.

As the fuel price proves to be unstable we will make every effort to buffer further increases, but regret that this is largely out of our control.

We do however guarantee that we will notify you promptly of radical changes, and strive to provide you with the best possible transfer rates.

All bookings confirmed with our reservations office prior to 30 June 2008 will be honoured at the original rate.

We thank you for your ongoing support, and do not hesitate to contact us should you require further clarity or information.

Warm Island Wishes!
