Travelling with adult students actually

As on my previous visit, everything was great! I really appreciate that both times I've been to Namib Safari it's been a quiet retreat.

Peaceful in the off season!

I stayed with a group--6 of us--and for a group like this, Namib is a fantastic place for the price! The rooms are neat and clean and the place is very tranquil in the low season. Staff was very helpful. I'd stay again! Wendy from Lesotho

Good

Price was fair. Suitable for parents with small children, but not with teenagers.

A bit about this place

Namib Safari Lodge has the best of both worlds. It is on the main road of the town of St Lucia, close to amenities, restaurants and shops, but a few minutes drive from the wonders of the wetlands. Namib Safari Lodge is the ideal spot to base your holiday travels from or just come and stay with us for a few days to unwind and enjoy life at a slower pace. Get away from the hustle and bustle of the rat-race and savour the sunny, relaxed lifestyle in an exotic setting with a hundred and one indigenous experiences to enjoy, whether it's exploring neighboring game reserves and viewing the Big Five or a low-key day at the beach fishing and soaking up the rays. Namib Safari Lodge is surrounded by a host of other guesthouses, restaurants and shops for a truly well-rounded holiday experience, let alone culinary. One is guaranteed a varied and relaxing stay in the heart of St. Lucia, tourism Mecca of the Elephant Coast in KwaZulu Natal. ACCOMMODATION: Namib Safari Lodge offers 14 fully serviced self catering chalets with en-suite bathrooms with a bath and shower. Each chalet has it own private balcony and secure parking bay. Television with DSTV (PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SMARTCARD). We also offer 14 serviced Bed & Breakfast units with a bar fridge, coffee making facilities and en-suite bathrooms with a shower only. Television with selected DSTV channels All units are equipped with air conditioning, telephones, hair dryers and dedicated geysers. Braai/Barberque facilities are available at request. The Lodge has a sparkling swimming pool with a luxury lapa and African style bar where meals and sundowners can be enjoyed. ACTIVITIES: The complex is ideal for tour groups and families. While staying with us, we can make sure that you get to enjoy the best that the Wetland Park has to offer. Explore the lake on a hippo cruise, take a safari to the Hluhluwe/Umfolozi Big Five Reserve, go deep sea fishing or do whale and dolphin watching. There are walking trails, turtle tours, night drives and beach adventures. There is a world of wonder waiting for you in the Greater St Lucia Wetlands World Heritage Site. We'll help you find it. St.Lucia - a very special slice of Africa, the greater St Lucia Wetland Park offers eco tourists some of the most diverse wildlife and outdoor experiences imaginable. For this reason it was declared a World Heritage Site in December 1999. The lake and surrounding area, as well as the wetlands surrounding it, teems with hippos, crocodiles and many other wild animals. Birds include fish eagles, hornbills, Goliath herons, paddle-billed storks, green pigeons, Loerie's (3 species), narina, trogons etc. It is probably South Africa's best bird viewing area with over 520 species having been identified here. Unspoilt beaches, on which turtles lay their eggs, stretch for many hundreds of kilometres northward. Cape Vidal offers excellent snorkelling, protected swimming and your drive through Cape Vidal takes you
