Within easy walking distance to the Drakensberg sun resort there is a lake with boats and daily pleasure cruises as well as trout fishing. Tennis, bowls, squash, horse riding, mashes golf and swimming pools are also available. A canopy tour in the Grotto forest is a must for all ages. Nearby attractions are golf at Champagne sports resort, quad biking, helicopter flights, shops and restaurants, birds of prey demonstrations, Drakensberg boy’s choir school concerts and a whole lot more.

The Drakensberg Mountains is one of the finest hiking destinations in South Africa and possibly Africa. Some hiking trails start right at the villa and no matter which path you choose you will be amazed at the spectacular scenery that surrounds you whether you are in the forests dotted with streams and waterfalls or on the grassy plains offering panoramic views of the mountains. The house overlooks the Blue grotto forest where over 150 species of birds have been identified. There is also a raptor restaurant on the estate. The area is safe and secure and virtually crime free.
