Welcome to beautiful Swellendam, nestled at the foot of the majestic Langeberg Mountains. Situated in the heart of this tranquil town you can find the Mint Cottages, cosy thatched self-catering accommodation.

The six cosy thatch cottages are self-catering, with fully-functional kitchens and bathrooms, as well as seperate lounges and master bedrooms.

Braai facilities are available on site and all cottages have garden views. The Mint Cottages are on the main street of beautiful Swellendam, nestled at the foot of the majestic Langeberg mountains.

Swellendam has much to offer visitors who have an interest in history, nature and outdoor activities.

Situated on the N2, approximately 240km from both Cape Town and George, Swellendam is the perfect choice for a halfway stopover or as a base from which to explore the area.

Popular activities in and around Swellendam are hiking, climbing, fishing, golfing, horse riding and canoeing. Scenery includes river, mountains, forests and lakes.

1. We had to book in at another establishment across the street - not good. We were not told about this beforehand. 2. The sleeper couch in the reception room was filthy, but provided the only sitting for watching TV. 3. The bath did not have a plug. 4. It lacks cooking utensils, although the crockery was good. 5. The price was R80,00 higher than a very nice guesthouse in town. Furthermore, the latter includes breakfast.

The stay-over (for one night) was nice - the accommodation was decent, clean and neat. I would recommend this to someone who needs a place for a single night.
