Fabulous!

We all thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Milkwood Manor. The rooms and house were well maintained, spotless, spacious, comfortable and we felt able to relax totally. Everyone made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely breakfast, enjoyed sitting out on the terrace. Views fantastic. Wish we hadn't pre booked our next accommodation as we would definitely have stayed longer! Would definitely return.

EXCELLENT

We had a wonderful stay at Milkwood Manor. The service was excellent, as was the food, particularly the Thai restaurant. Our room had a great view of the lagoon. The bird life both on the lagoon and in the garden was wonderful. We would definitely stay again.

A hidden gem on the Garden route

Very well located close to the beach. We enjoyed it fully together with owner and staff friendly approach. Their helpful advice and recommendations on where to go and what to do in the area. In-house restuarant - Thai style is superb - our best recommendations!

A bit about this place

Wake up to the sound of breaking surf and seagull’s cry for a minute’s stroll past the nature reserve that surrounds the Manor on three sides, to either Lookout Beach, so named for its spectacular mountain views, or to the vast adjacent tidal-lagoon’s wetlands, a veritable bird sanctuary. Unspoilt Nature on one’s doorstep, yet within walking distance of the village centre with its charming shops and continental restaurants. The manor features a spacious double-storey foyer, upstairs cosy lounge with satellite TV and free 24 hour internet access, twelve well appointed rooms with SABC TV, bath and/or shower, panoramic views from the roof deck, sunny breakfast/sundowner patio overlooking the adjoining lagoon, large private pool. During most evenings in season, savory dinners are served at the popular in-house Thai restaurant, 'The Lemon Grass'.
