Set on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain in Somerset West, Mooring House Guest Lodge offers spacious and tasteful bed and breakfast accommodation or self catering units set in tranquil, up market and pleasant surrounding.
We are situated at the gateway to the various wine estates and are in close proximity to various golf courses (two of which being Erinvale and Stellenbosch).
The Strand Beach front and the Somerset Mall (for all your shopping requirements) is only a few minutes drive away as well as recreational activities such as hiking trails. A supermarket, hair sal... We are situated at the gateway to the various wine estates and are in close proximity to various golf courses (two of which being Erinvale and Stellenbosch).
The Strand Beach front and the Somerset Mall (for all your shopping requirements) is only a few minutes drive away as well as recreational activities such as hiking trails. A supermarket, hair salon, dry-cleaner and restaurant is also within an even closer proximity.
Adequate and secure off street parking is available within the premises, behind electronic gates. A sparkling and refreshing pool is also available to our guests who prefer to 'cool off' rather than go sight seeing.
In total the Guest Lodge has 6 accommodation units of which 4 are self catering unit. Our rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated each with own en-suite bathroom.
All our rooms apart from the standard unit have access to outside patio area's. Lawns, trees and flowers compliment the garden setting where our guests can sit and absorb the splendid sunsets or distant sea views.
The rooms are also equipped with TV, coffee/tea facility and hair dryer, radio and safe. Satellite TV reception is available in some of our units as an optional extra.
The self catering units have fully equipped and completely separate and tastefully styled kitchenettes which include built in 2 plate cooker, fridge, microwave, kettle, peculator and toaster. E-mail, fax and Internet facilities are available upon request as well as laundry.
For those guests availing of our B&B option, we boast a more than adequate breakfast. Light meals can be arranged for lunch or supper.
We also offer a shuttle service to and from Cape Town International Airport which is an approximate 20 minute drive away.
What is most important is that we are here to ensure that you have both a memorable and enjoyable stay - our Guest Book says it all!
