Description

This camp is situated 30 kilometres east of Maun on the banks of the seasonal Boteti river. We offer an exclusive, quiet, uncrowded, beautiful, treed site for those who wish to stay in the vicinity of Maun.

Our ablutions are first class and all facilities are serviced by our own clean, on-site borehole. A main social boma with bar and swimming pool is available and meals may be arranged on request.

This camp is ideal as a base camp for those adventurous individuals who wish to explore the Okavango Delta, Moremi, Savuti and Chobe National Parks, as well as the central Kalahari and Makgadikgadi areas.

Beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. A new coat of paint in the ablutions blocks would make it perfect.

We were a group of 10, 8 adults and 2 children, travelling through Botswana. We had a great time at Drifters and Erick made us feel welcome from the beginning. It was the only campsite where we camped on grass and the bathroom facilities were clean.

My wife and I stay here for 5 days with the idea just to kick back and relax. Our host Eric was really friendly and came by the campsite every morning to enquire if there were anything that we needed. This is the sort of personnel attention that one does not find these days any more. The camps location on the river bank makes for some incredible sunset scenes and a sense of tranquillity. Was great, well maintained and clean amenities, just a bit strange that we were not allowed to camp on the grass at first as no cars were allowed on the fields, but most of the group had rooftop tents on their trailers and only after prolonged asking were they allowed to push their trailers onto the lawn to set up camp. Alternative would have been to set up camp in the middle of the road!!!
