Wine lovers are within half an hour’s drive of 100 of the Cape’s top wine farms, while golfers have five leading golf courses within a 15 km radius. Lyngrove Country House is 10 km from the historic town of Stellenbosch and half an hour from Cape Town, while the fine beaches of Strand and Gordon’s Bay are minutes away. The Winelands are the ideal base for a host of other activities including horse riding, mountain biking, helicopter trips, hot air ballooning, scenic walks, and find dining.

This house, unusual for the Cape, has French colonial overtones, with each of the rooms individually decorated and offering spacious bathrooms. Rooms are air-conditioned and include satellite television, and facilities include a private bar, billiard room, ten person executive boardroom, breakfast and dining facilities, with dinner’s available by prior arrangement.
