Description

Lovedale Farm Holidays gives you the most affordable self-catering accommodation and luxury camping in the Helmeringhausen area. Come and enjoy a relaxed and affordable stay on the oldest commercial farm in Namibia still in the same family (since 1854). Farming is still our main activity and therefore you can experience an active sheep farm on a daily basis.

We have four self-catering cottages, fully equipped with bed linen, fridge, stove and everything you need in the kitchen. Each cottage has its own barbecue area.

Our campsites are equipped with 12V lights and 220V electricity-plugs are available at extra cost, water (which is tested and drinkable), barbecue area and a lot of shade. Hot showers, flush toilets and washing up facilities for clothes and crockery are available.

Relaxation: At Lovedale you see the stars at night and hear birds in the early morning. Peacocks and guinea fowl enhance the relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful sunsets are viewable from a nearby hill. Farm noises bring nostalgia while sitting around the fire.

Friendly reception. The 'koeksisters' on arrival were a fantastic touch and very much appreciated! Hot water a bit of a problem even when you took an early shower as recommended. The info on the history of the family farm was quite interesting.

Nice location on the farm. Friendly hosts, "bateleur" cottage is very simple and would not have delivered enough comfort for a longer stay. Inside it was too dark during night time. Very scenic road from Aus to Lovedales Farm.

We had a lovely, peaceful stay at Lovedale. Rumby, the Springbok and Wollie and Ticko, the cats add to make us feel very welcome. Louisa is a very friendly host and the koeksisters which awaited us were great.
