Description
Restored to its pre-1800 grandeur, with classic gables and old yellow-wood, this charming Cape Dutch house is a National Monument and part of the historic Church Street of Tulbagh. The house is situated in a safe environment, and all restaurants for breakfast/lunch/dinner as well as all supermarkets are within a range of 500m. On chilly winter evenings our guests can relax in the cosy living room or in front of the fireplace in the kitchen .
Two secluded courtyards - one with a small sheltered garden sitting under vines and one with a small pool - will tempt you on hot summer days. A television and Hi-fi with mp3-player are at your disposal. Linen and towels are provided, except pool towels. Please observe our strictly non-smoking policy inside the house and cottage. Thank you for your understanding. Sorry, no pets allowed. A television and Hi-fi with mp3-player are at your disposal.
The "Four Poster" bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, is ideally suited for special occasions such as honeymoons. The "Sleigh" bedroom is a cozy double bedroom with a large en-suite bathroom. A secluded Garden Room has twin beds and an en suite bathroom.
The whole house can be rented as self-catering with a fully equipped kitchen (stove, microwave, fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer) as shown in the rates below. Please note: The Four Poster and Sleigh bedrooms are also available for rent separately for R500 per unit per night. Please just request a quote. For bed and breakfast options, please enquire.
