My Wife and I recently visited the Laaiplek Hotel in Velddrif and we were really impressed by the Standard of Accommodation, the excellent Food and excellent Service. I had a Seafood experience for Dinner that will be difficult to beat.  Two Star Hotel with Four Star Accommodation and Five Star Food and Service. The view was exceptional and the Museum next door was a highlight of the visit. I recommend this Hotel for anyone who would like a nice trip away.

Overpriced for what you get considering that breakfast is not included. We were rather surprised after returning from our day trip on Sunday to find the hotel and facilities closed. When we phoned the manager we were informed that the hotel closes from 15h00 on Sundays. The only alternative to dinner was pizza at a local pub. The food however was very good.
