Description

Kurisa Moya Nature Lodge is a 422 hectare property near Tzaneen, Polokwane and Magoebaskloof in Limpopo.

Kurisa Moya has mountains, rivers, indigenous forests and bushveld. We offer accommodation in unique venues - each private and tranquil.

Activities include walking paths, hiking trails, guided birding walks with a Birdlife SA accredited guide, 4x4 sunset drives, massages and fly-fishing.

You could book a Forest Lodge cabin, 3 metres up in the canopy of the indigenous forest, surrounded by magnificent trees, animals and birds. Alternatively, soak up the views at the earthy Thora Boloka Cottage, on the mountain's edge overlooking Kudu's River Valley.

Otherwise, the Farmhouse is perfect for family get-together or fun weekends away with a group of friends. It has 5 en-suite bedrooms, huge kitchen, lounge and dining-room, a wrap-around pation and private gardens with plunge pool.

Whichever venue you choose, you can be sure of privacy, tranquility and the sense of having your soul restored. Self-catering or catering provided.

The farm’s varied habitats are home to over 250 species of birds, including the Narina Trogan, the Black-fronted Bush Shrike, the Green Twinspot and the Buff-spotted Flufftail.

The Woodbush area is one of the top birding sites as mentioned in Hugh Chittendin’s book, Top Birding Spots in Southern Africa. Bird Guide, David Letsoalo is the top local guide in South Africa. He offers outings to the Woodbush Forest and in Kurisa Moya's indigenous forest.

Our dam is stocked with trout and Haenertsburg is a nationally renowned trout fishing area and access can be organised to various dam and river venues where both rainbow and brown trout may be caught.

Trout fishing lessons and equipment hire are available.

Also available are mountain bike trails, a craniosacral therapy session, a chair massage, 4x4 sunset drives up the mountain and much more.

Time spent at Kurisa Moya, will be remembered as a truly unique experience.
