If you are looking for a taste of 'Africa in the suburbs' - you've found the right place! For dreaming your African dreams, there is no better place under our starry African skies… Kulanga Cottages B&B have been hosting regular guests since 2000, offering a unique African experience. We are situated in the well established, quiet suburb of Linden, yet a stone's throw away from the heart of our vibrant 'Jozi', and close to all major freeways and tourist attractions. A beautiful tranquil garden is the perfect setting to enjoy the wondrous proliferation of African bird life! Our four thatch cottages which all have their own unique contemporary African ambiance, are situated in such a way that complete privacy is ensured. The cottages have their own patio, TV, writing desks, fan/heater, alarm clock, fridge, microwave and coffee- and tea making facilities. Bathrobes and other extra’s are provided for your comfort. Our cottages ‘Langa’ and ‘Nyanga’ have twin beds, a kitchenette and private bathroom with double basins and a luxuriously spacious shower. Our stunning air conditioned honeymoon/family cottage, ‘Umndeni’, can accommodate four in two double beds in an open plan setup. It has a private bathroom with shower as well as an enormous bath with mosaic inlay. Our comfortable single cottage ‘Kunye’ has a double bed and private bathroom with shower. Brand spanking new are our four studios 'Amanzi', 'Inhlabathi', 'Umlilo' and 'Umoya'. Two are ground floor rooms with entrance via a small private patio. The other two are upstairs rooms with a balcony. These new rooms all have a double bed and stunning African furnishings. En suite bathroom with shower, fridge, microwave, coffee and tea facilities. An excellent Mediterranean restaurant as well as a Woolworths Food store have recently opened and are on our doorstep (not even a 5-minute walk). Business/office/Internet-related facilities are available at Postnet, just minutes away from our Guest House. Secure, remote controlled parking is available on the property. There is a great variety of popular (half) day-trips in and around Johannesburg to be experienced, and we will gladly book these for you. Airport transfers as well as car hire by prior arrangement. We are conveniently close to Conference Centres, Theatres, Art Galleries, Hospitals, & Universities. The Bright Water Commons and Monte Casino provide a wide variety of entertainment with top restaurants & cinemas. Major shopping malls and sports clubs are nearby.
