We took our entire family including parents for a brief New Year stay. The welcome and dinner were second to none and the rooms superb - each with its own theme. The location makes a good overnight stop if you are staying near Cape Town and want to explore the Western Cape landscapes - not just limiting yourself to the vineyards closer to Cape Town.

Klippe Rivier is the family home of past Presidents Steyn and Reitz, and the original waenhuis and stables have been converted into six most spacious and luxury bedrooms. Each individually styled bedroom is en suite with large bathrooms and separate showers.
