Description

Khumbula meaning a place to remember in Shangaan comprises of two fully-serviced luxurious retreats, which combine 21st Century luxury with old-fashioned style.

Situated in a private wildlife estate, close to the small town of Hoedspruit and a stone’s throw from the Kruger National Park, both properties embrace a colonial architectural style, with subtle colour schemes, antique style furniture and crystal clear pools.

Designed as beautiful home-style retreats, the lounges are furnished with sumptuous leather sofas and have open fires for those cold winter nights. The main decks provide the perfect place for enjoying sun downers after the adventures of the day.

Our aim is to provide guests with an African Bush experience that will make your stay truly memorable, but also to provide the creature comforts of home.

This is a very nice and clean house with comfortable beds. Some comfortable chairs in the outside area would make it even better. Beautiful area with bush feeling.

This is a great place to enjoy the bush. We stayed here for a week and we saw Giraffes, Kudu, Nyala, all from the wooden deck. The only minus, the house needs some maintenance. But besides that, this is a jewel in the bush.

Had an absolutely amazing stay - Perfect for a long weekend getaway. Amazing opportunity to appreciate what mother nature has to offer. Did not have to even travel to see impala, giraffe, warthog and amazing birdlife. House is fully equipped for self-catering purposes. Cannot wait to visit again. Recommended!!!!

Thank you for a wonderful weekend. Everything was special from the moment we were greeted by Howard until we left. Seeing giraffes in the front "garden" when we woke up on the first morning and enjoying a glass of wine next to the pool looking into the bush while the meat is on the braai is just two of the memories springing to mind. Wonderful facilities and money well spend, we will definitely make another visit.
