Description
Island Vibe is set atop the dunes in Jeffreys Bay with a 270 degree view of beach, sea and surf. The main house holds the cheaper dorm rooms, communal facilities, restaurant and bar. Our en suite private rooms are located at the foot of the dune with an uninterrupted panorama of the Indian Ocean. Each room opens onto a balcony that allows for the sound of the waves and the splish splash of dolphins. Campers too can relax in the garden with views toward the sea -(no specified sites and no electrical points).
The atmosphere of Island Vibe is unique - a blend of young backpackers, dedicated surfers and older travelers. Each one adds an ingredient that culminates in an easy, homely, exciting and enticing place to be.
Island Vibe is home to Jeffreys Bay Surf School, established in 2000. Etien, our instructure is a former SA coach and a present SA surf team selector. Lessons are professional and fun giving students confidence in the waves and the thrill of what a surfer can accomplish.
Jeffreys Bay Language School teaches English to foreigners and the TEFL course to locals. Students can learn English plus another activity of their choice - surfing, scuba diving or do volunteer work. The TEFL course allows South AFricans to teach English in other countries.
In essence Island Vibe offers guests a dynamic get away that will be remembered long after the event!
