iGowati Country Hotel

iGowati Country Hotel is the ideal stopover on your way to the wonders of Damaraland. Enjoy breathtaking desert landscapes where game such as black rhino, desert elephant, mountain zebra, kudu, springbuck roam freely. We are situated in the town of Khorixas on the main road.

We have 30 rooms with en-suite bathrooms and 10 Campsites with electricity points, running water and clean ablutions. Rooms are spacious, clean and attractively decorated under rustic thatch roofs.

A well designed swimming pool and open restaurant offer a relaxing place to enjoy an afternoon dip, good food and hospitality. Local beer and fine wines are on offer in the bar. The restaurant is open for all main meals, as well as light meals and snacks. A performance by the Damara people will entertain guests each evening.

A boma with braai facilities provides a relaxing atmosphere in which guests can enjoy the cool evening air and look at the stars while having a night cap or just watching the fire. A relaxing afternoon can be enjoyed in our Jacuzzi that can seat eight people. The curio shop offers some local African art and crafts, as well as necessities for the traveller. We also offer day trips to all of the sights in our area.
