Description

With it's unique relaxed ambience, this delightful luxury 3 star bush lodge offers informative early morning bush walks and superb game drives to the wildlife enthusiast. There are mountain views, bushveld views, dams, lakes, waterholes & river beds. It's a bird watchers paradise and a photographers dream.

With 9 en-suite double rooms, 4 family rooms, a cosy Honeymoon suite, and an executive self-catering unit, all surrounded by a tropical garden. Hongonyi offers the ultimate in relaxation. Rooms are equipped with mosquito nets, overhead fans and insect screens to protect you from the African heat, ensuring a perfect night's rest. There are no noisy air-conditioners, radios, TV's or fridges in the rooms.

Keep binoculars close by as you relax on the viewing deck or in the bush lounge where refreshments are served, laze on a hammock under the shade of a tree, or cool down in the invigorating water of the rock pool. Listen to the roar of the Lions in the distance, the sounds of the Jackal as they roam the reserve, and the bark of the Hyena that electrifies the night.

But Hongonyi is not just about the African Bush, the beautiful birds, wildflowers, animals & trees it's  also about the people who look after Hongonyi. A group of dedicated hard working men & women, who have become like family, and most of whom have been with Hongonyi since it started in 2000.
