Enjoy a stunning 360 degree panorama view onto the hills of the game reserve and into real Zululand. At night-time you've got the giggle of the hyenas in your ear and the glittering star-sky over your head. We offer a very warm and homely atmosphere in a unique and peaceful environment. Our main house has comfortable dorms and cozy double room, nicely decorated.
Our Outside Chalet with Double bed offers you lots of privacy. For more "adventure" we rent out 3 stationary parked caravans (as single, twin or double) with view into the park. Our kitchen is very well equipped with all cutlery, crockery and utensils, there are gas stoves, fridge and freezer, microwave etc and if you not in the mood for cooking let us spoil you with one of our tasty home cooked meals. Lounge and reception area, the “park pub” with cold beers and range of drinks or the large garden/ outside area (big boma and braai area) offers you ample space to relax. Hluhluwe Backpackers is set up in a very peaceful environment. Surrounded only by a few Zulu Huts in a distance and the hills of the National Park.
Lots of space for camping and caravans (with light and plug points) in the shade of many Marula trees and the chameleon forest (Please note: no breakfast for campers.) Shower and toilets.
