The property, historically known as Highfield House, is approximately 160 years old and is set in a large park-like garden, in a suburb steeped in old Durban history.

This property offers a home away from home venue. It is fenced with automated access and secure off-street parking. It is within easy access to main roads and national highways. There is a quaint chapel and bridal suite on the premises and there is a licensed pub named Einsteins on the premises.

Our self-catering , fully-furnished four bedroom home makes groups and backpacking accommodation cheap and affordable.

Character: A 160 year old home full of last century character, with beautiful gardens.

Family: We offer a childrens playground, swimming pool, and large secure property for children to play and cycle.

Honeymoon Romance: We have a beautiful four poster bed in the honeymoon suite.

Wedding Venues: The garden has over 400 m of Led f airy lights, lending itself to an enchanting evening setting. There is also a quaint chapel and bridal suite on the property, and we offer three different wedding packages. Our venue caters for all.

Conference venue: We can seat up to 40 delegates comfortably.

Disabled Friendly: We are wheelchair friendly.

Pets Permitted: Pet lovers are welcome.With large fully fenced grounds.

Outstanding Views: We have stunning views of Durban and an abundance of bird life.

Relaxation: Fully fenced and very secure,a stunning verandah to relax on and absorb the view of Durban.

I enjoyed staying at the venue. It is a very quiet place, although I had trouble reaching the place by taxi. I think attention should also be given to the shower, otherwise the place is lovely. I would not hesitate to stay there again when I am in town.

This is a very nice and secure place. The owner Leslie is a very friendly and helpful person,we got there at 3am and he was up giving us directions. The house is big with everything we needed in there. I had a great time time.

It was good to be able to get away. Les was very friendly and extremely helpful, especially with directions. Because we are afraid of dogs, we couldn't enjoy the swings. But all in all, it was enjoyable. The history of the place gives the place character. It was also good to be allowed to view the venue after it was prepared for the wedding.

The stay at the Highfield House was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The hosts were friendly and enjoyed meeting with them very much. They were very considerate and helpful. The house itself was very homely and returning there would be a great pleasure. It really is a home away from home. We sure to come back on our next visit to Durban.
