Well appointed and comfortable

Despite our late arrival and early departure we were made most welcome. The Nautilus Suite was perfect for two couples, spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was a real treat, especially the exotic fruit and beautiful porcelain service.
The Halcyon House is the best!

It is an outstanding house with beautiful views over the bay on the centre of many great attractions on the garden route. Charles and his mother really gave us a tremendous stay in the Plettenburg Bay. With the help of darling housekeeper Gloria they provide a B&B-arrangement close to perfection. These wonderful kind people have a special eye for every detail and gave al their best to enjoy our stay and so we did. Hospitality and accommodation fit for royalty! Everything the heart could desire and then some. Peaceful and quiet yet close to beaches and entertainment. The suite is the most beautiful we have ever had the good fortune to stay in and the view to wake up to in the morning is magnificent! We were greeted very warmly and loved our stay. This was the best place we stayed in all of South Africa. Each night we were welcomed to have a drink to meet other guests and were given recommendations on where to eat and what to do. The info pack in the room was full of everything you could ever want to know and proved very useful. A short drive to town and we could walk to the beach in less than 5 minutes. I would recommend anyone to stay here!

Charles was very attentive and helpful with every request. the house is truly brilliant, great views of the sea and mountains and only a 5 min( max) walk to the beach. The canoeing up the river is a must for views and setting. The picnic that Charles made was first rate. Getting into Plett is also easy, there is a good taxi company that they use which is reliable and also reasonable. All in all a fantastic stay and would love to go back again.
