Set in the heart of Johannesburg's leafy suburbs, you will find Linden's original farmhouse. It has been extensively renovated to its former glory and no expense has been spared on furnishing and decorating it in the style and luxury of yesteryear. The Farmhouse is a member of the South African Tourism Grading Council and has a four star grading. Being the original farmhouse of Linden, the structure was built some 114 years ago by Louw Geldenhuys. Today our doors stand open once again for visitors to share in its rich history. The Farmhouse boasts an old fashioned verandah, a heated swimming pool, an old-time arbor and luxury rooms, all individually furnished in their own unique style. All rooms are equipped with telephone, wifi and satellite television. The gardens are nothing short of magnificent, boasting beautiful old trees, pergolas, water features and a proliferation of African bird life and trellises dripping with roses. When sitting in the garden it is hard to believe that you are in the heart of Johannesburg. It feels as though you are a million miles from the CBD, yet you are only 15 minutes away from both Sandton and Johannesburg. The Farmhouse is just 40 minutes from Johannesburg International Airport. Transfers can be arranged on request. There is a large selection of restaurants in nearby Parkhurst, Greenside and Melville where you can experience Johannesburg's Café Society. Shopping and movies are just 5 minutes away at the Cresta shopping centre, and in nearby Rosebank you will find the largest African Market in Johannesburg. Monte Casino and the Sandton Convention Centre are 15 minutes away. The Farmhouse is renowned for hosting Weddings and party celebrations. We cater for the the smaller, intimate wedding party party catering for up to 40 people. In summer months we are able to cater for larger groups. The Farmhouse can host conferences and meetings for groups as small as 2 people and up to 25 boardroom style or in a U shape. Up to 50 people can be accommodated in a classroom style. Two of the rooms available have mini kitchenettes. We have recently added a self contained family cottage and an additional luxury suite. Our sparkling, heated swimming pool helps guests relax and our secure off-street parking ensures peace of mind.
