The cultured, sunlit streets of Stellenbosch lie in the heart of the Cape Winelands and d'Ouwe Werf is situated in the historical core of this genteel university town, only 45km from Cape Town, 20km from the sea and surrounded by beautiful mountains Our guests enjoy the wonders of the Cape Winelands from the repose of our luxurious accommodation, while the elegant Cape Dutch architecture reflects the refined hospitality to be found within. Stellenbosch is famous as the premier wine region of South Africa. Situated on tranquil Church Street, d'Ouwe Werf retains the graceful ambience of Georgian style throughout. Soft hues and antique furniture have been tastefully aligned with the comforts of modern living to create a calm haven from which to base your explorations of Stellenbosch.
The inn consists of 32 en suite bedrooms, which are individually styled with antiques collected over the years. Modern facilities, and staff who pride themselves on their friendly, personal and professional service, make each visit an enjoyable and memorable one. All the bedrooms of this gracious country residence are spacious and inviting and are individually decorated with mahogany furniture and shower a multitude of additional gratuities, ranging from the choice of queen, double or twin beds to the complimentary valet parking, will amount to a very memorable stay in this beautiful town. The superior and luxury rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished, superior with large bathrooms, and separate showers.
The "1802 Restaurant" is renowned for its traditional and international cuisine and boasts a wine list that will satisfy even the most sophisticated connoisseur.
