Facilities

Cathedral Peak Hotel is famous for warm hospitality, luxurious accommodation and excellent cuisine. This award winning resort has achieved the perfect balance between being a family resort and a premier conference venue.

Accommodation, ranging from Family Rooms to the Presidential Suite, is available to SafariNow.com clients. A wide range of sporting facilities offered at the hotel includes daily guided walks, guided horse and pony rides, archery, quad bikes, tennis, squash,swimming, bowls, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, floodlit mini-adventure golf and trout fishing, biking, Wi-Fi Internet. The hotel’s immaculate 9-hole golf course has been termed The Thinking Golfer’s Course and has alternate tees for a challenging 18-hole game.

A stunning recreational area complete with a heated pool, gym and steam bath, is set against the backdrop of the spectacular Cathedral range. The terraced landscape incorporates rocks and flora indigenous to the Cathedral Peak area and the pool bar and braai boma offer spectacular views of the valley and golf course – a popular setting for early evening sundowners.

For an unforgettable experience, guests have the unique opportunity of lifting off in the hotel’s resident helicopter to obtain a bird’s eye view of the majestic mountains. In the evenings, guests spend time with friends and family in Albert’s Cocktail Bar around a roaring log fire, or in the informal Harry’s Bar for a game of pool or darts.

The hotels children's dining room operates from 5.30pm until 9.30pm. Children are not allowed in the adults dining room after 8pm. The evening dress code in the dining room is smart-casual (no shorts after 6.30pm). Children are welcome to join their parents in Alberts Cocktail Bar at any time, however children cannot be seated at the bar counter due to liquor law stipulations. Children are also welcome in the main hotel lounge where they can relax with their parents.

Rates are per person daily and inclusive of dinner, bed and breakfast, mid morning and afternoon tea. The first two people in a room are charged an adults sharing rate regardless of the age.

Inspiring location and amazing views all round. Although only a one night stay, very relaxing and enjoyable. Will be back to walk and enjoy more of the mountains.

I really enjoyed my weekend stay at the resort.The place is heavenly,the staff angelic and the food no words can describe.One can never be bored as there is a variety of activities that one can do like guided walks and the horse rides to mention but a few.The price is reasonable and am already planning to bring my whole family for a weekend stay during the Easter holidays.

I have been all around the world and have visited a lot of destinations that promise a lot but don't deliver. I was amazed at the service I got while staying at the Cathedral Peak hotel. The staff are very helpful and very insightful. I felt like I was the only guest there. I didn't mind all the attention at times but when we wanted some alone time its like they just knew. I'm happy to return in the blink of an eye.
