Description

Boskloof Swemgat is a beautiful small farm in the unspoiled Boskloof Valley, some 10 km from Clanwilliam, at the foothills of the Northern Cederberg mountains.

The farm offers five self-catering, thatch-roof cottages and one pre-fab cottage, all situated on the banks of the Jan Dissels River with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. It is the ideal place for a family getaway, or a romantic weekend. Explore the farm roads on foot or mountain bike, fish and swim in the unpolluted river and be awed by the stars in the clear night skies above you.

Make this your base from which to explore the Cederberg, the coast of Lambert's Bay, Wupperthal, Namaqualand and Clanwilliam, or simply relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature around you.

This place is really amazing. We stayed in Langhuis and it was so peaceful and serene. The ultimate relaxing getaway with the river flowing a few meters away and a mountain backdrop, we couldn't have asked for more. Looking forward to going back.

Growing up on a farm, I really enjoyed staying at this accommodation. The house and surrounding area was exceptionally clean and well looked after. We even had our private farmyard lawn mowed before our arrival. The weather didn't quite play along for the Spring flowers and we had some rain, but the indoor fireplace and red wine compensated for that. Our overnight stay was most enjoyable in the most beautiful setting. Francois was a perfect host and it will definitely be a repeat stop for us. Unfortunateloy the wind howled the following morning and so we were unable to have our breakfast outside under the tree - but maybe next time.
