An excellent spot for a family holiday.
We spent 2 weeks there in February and generally the weather was fine with day time temps maxing out at ~30C. As it was out of season it was very quiet and that suited us. The spaciousness of the property was a big plus and the homes are all neatly kept and the natural bush unspoilt. The beach directly adjacent was easily accessible and goes on unbroken for miles but it is not really a swimming beach unless you are a very strong swimmer; playing in the shallows is fine. Our stay at Beachcomber Cottage in the Springerbaai Eco Estate was very enjoyable.
Springerbaai is a quiet, natural setting where one can really switch off. The fact that it is really eco friendly further adds to the natural experience.

Our remote bay stretches for miles, very quiet and natural. Enjoy the oyster-catchers and the passing dolphins, not forgetting the whales in winter.
Great Outdoors
The Eco Estate is great for taking long walks, bike riding along gravel roads, a 4x4 track and a bird hide. Wonderful Wildlife viewing.
Outstanding Views
The estate has uninterrupted sea and bay views as well and countryside and mountain views!!
Description
Nestled in a tranquil nature reserve with stunning views over a beautiful bay and direct access to an un-spoilt, sandy beach. The Cottages sleep between 2 and 8 guests with accommodations comprising 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms and at least 2 family bathrooms. The open plan living spaces are welcoming and spacious with breathtaking views to the sea. Beachcomber Cottages are surrounded by a whole host of wonderful wildlife. From the Oyster Catcher Bird to the Southern Right Whale, the coastline offers the most amazing wildlife. The Duiker roams freely through the Fynbos and the sand dunes. Springbok graze gracefully alongside a dazzle of zebra and all around the beautiful sounds of the varied birdlife. Enjoy the tranquillity, wide open spaces and amazing panoramic views of the nature reserve and the Indian Ocean, relax, unwind and do absolutely nothing. The choice is yours. Regret no pets, motorbikes or quad bikes allowed since we are located within a nature reserve. Houses run on solar power.
