This picturesque village has an unspoilt coastline of about 2km with quaint white fisherman’s cottages, which add their charm to what has been referred to as “Namaqualand by the Sea” due to the region’s flower extravaganza in spring.

ACTIVITIES

Jacobsbaai is a fisherman’s haven with the azure Atlantic Ocean providing an abundance of seafood like crayfish, hottentot, galjoen, white steenbras and black mussels.



The area offers spectacular hiking along the scenic coastline. Nature walks, bird watching and the multi-flower extravaganza during spring are all part of the West Coast experience. Golf, sailing, deep-sea fishing, underwater diving, horse riding, organised boat trips and romantic sunset cruises can be arranged. Other activities in the area include windsurfing, sailing and canoeing. The Cape West Coast is a unique region, most famous for its beautiful scenery, seafood, bird life, wines and friendly locals.
