Fabulous stay
Thank you we had a fabulous time at the Auberge Provence. It was everything that we were hoping it would be. Belinda made us feel very welcome and the restaurants that she chose for us were excellent. Breakfasts were excellent. We certainly would not hesitate to go back again

Set on the edge of the cliffs of Hermanus overlooking the whale watchers' paradise of Walker Bay, is an intimate retreat constructed in the style of a traditional French Provencal farmhouse. Inspired by a beautiful guest house outside St. Remy on the hills of an ancient village. An authentic piece of France complete with rustic stone and wrought iron balconied facade, stone floors and arched walkway. Two majestic wooden doors open to invite you in, to an incomparable vista over the cliffs, fynbos and the bay. Built around a romantic central courtyard, with a cool charcoal and travertine pool. Enjoy sumptuous breakfasts under grapevined terrace and on the seafront. The cool interiors and rich colours offer a haven of great charm and style. Classic decoration, works of art and large stone fireplaces impart a sense of timeless elegance. All five suites are individually themed and furnished in soft, relaxing colours and natural woods that are well suited to a luxurious ocean fronted environment. The en suite bathrooms are the ultimate in indulgence with French fragranced bath products.For a romantic getaway choose a suite with your own plunge pool or jacuzzi. Hermanus has some of the most beautiful beaches in South Africa, with majestic sightings of the Southern Right whales arriving every year to calve in Walker Bay. It offers many activities ranging from shark cage diving, boat based whale viewing, crayfishing and golf. This beautiful village, within one kilometre of Auberge Provence, has superb restaurants offering a wide variety of cuisine. Cape Town and the winelands are only an hour and a half away, which makes it an excellent holiday destination for visitors from all across the world.
