Accommodation At Home self-catering apartment is an up market self-catering apparent, consisting of open-plan kitchen with granite top and quality appliances, two comfortable bedrooms, one with king-size bed and built-in cupboards and the one with two single beds and built-in cupboards, lounge area has a dining room table, two couches around a coffee table and 72 cm TV with M-net.

Facilities common to cottages fridge, microwave, under counter over and four plate hob, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, secure, off-street under cover parking for one vehicle and open parking for others, remote controlled access, serviced every alternate day, bathrooms include shower and bath. Nearby attractions are Victoria road shopping centre, Parklane shopping centre are within 1 km of the apartment, four good restaurants within 500m, Liberty Midlands Mall is a very convenient and easy 3 km drive. The Royal Show Grounds are situated about 2 km away Victoria Country Club, which is one of the best golf courses in Natal and is approximately 5 km away.

Two lovely nature reserves are in close proximity; Queen Elizabeth Park and Ferncliff Nature Reserve both have lovely walking trails and picnic areas. We are in close proximity to independent boys and girls schools, Cordwalles, The Wykeham Collegiate, while Maritzburg College, Girls High School and St Charles College are an 8 minutes’ drive across town, the village of Hilton is a short 10 minutes’ drive away. Cowan House Prep School and St Anne’s School for Girls are both situated in this area, while Grace College and Hilton College are a little further out on the Hilton College Road.

We are within 4 km of four exclusive office parks, these include: Redlands Estate, Cascades Office Park, Hill Tops Office Park and Victoria Country Club. Mountain bike trails are plentiful in and around Pietermaritzburg. Known as the mountain biking hot spot, we have now been firmly placed on the map, with the recent World Champs been held in Pietermaritzburg. Cedara, Cascades, Worlds view, Fern hill, Garlick Timbers, Karkloof, Howick, Bisley nature reserve, Cumberland nature reserve, Midmar nature reserve and a recently opened bike park besides Giba Gorge are all fantastic world class spots to ride.

The start of the Comrades Marathon is only 2 km away and is a quick, direct drive Greys Hospital, St Annes Hospital and Medi Clinic is within 5 minutes’ drive. The start of the Duzi Canoe Marathon is a short 5 minute drive away. Comrades and Umashova start is 1.5 km away. Two major dams, Midmar Dam and Albert Falls are both a short easy drives away approximately 25 minutes.
The world famous Midmar Mile, fantastic bass fishing and varied water sports are all popular at both dams. Durban’s beautiful beaches and numerous tourist attractions are a quick 45 minutes’ drive away. The Drakensberg Mountains southern and central Berg are a scenic drive away approximately 2 hours. The famous Midlands Meander arts and crafts route which includes numerous and varied country restaurants is easy to access in the vicinity of Midmar Dam and the nearby village of Howick. The spectacular Howick Falls and Umgeni Valley Nature Reserve are highly recommended in Howick.

A short drive from Howick is the birders paradise of Karkloof, which also features the acclaimed Karkloof Canopy Tour. The Karkloof classic is one of the country’s largest mountain bike races, which attracts many of the top riders and thousands of participants. Art in the park & cars in the park are popular events in Pietermaritzburg, attracting collectors of art and vintage cars.
