Description

Our accommodation outfit owns a large beautiful Victorian self-catering guesthouse named Ashby Manor situated in an exclusive area below Lion's Head in Fresnaye, Sea Point. There are ten bedrooms ranging from single to four bedded mostly en-suite and some with balconies and magnificent sea views.

A communal, fully equipped kitchen leads to a large sunny dining room and there are communal lounges with TV/DStv. Every convenience is offered and there is daily service provided by helpful housekeepers. 242 High Level Road, Fresnaye, Sea Point.

I hate to leave negative feedback but I feel that it is necessary in this case. The apartment was large and in a great location but it was very dirty. The carpeting and furnishings need to be cleaned quite badly and it was clear that it hadn't been vacuumed before we got there. The weather was very hot while we were there but there were only a couple of fans provided that did very little to cool the rooms down. e paid quite a bit to stay there so I feel that we didn't get a good value ... more

Old Victorian style building. Situated in the very nice and safe Seaport area. In walking distance to restaurants, bars, supermarkets. Very friendly housekeepers. Old fashioned furniture. Too expensive (during Worldcup).
