Breakfast was great, location perfect. Potentially a bit noisy for travellers who want a lot of quiet, but then I dont know why they would want to stay so close to 7th street if that's the case!

Although I was only in Johannesburg for one night, I had a great stay at Archie's. John greeted me upon my arrival. He even called the driver to make sure that I was picked up at the airport. 7th Avenue is less than a minute walk from the guesthouse. There are many restaurants and cozy bars located on that strip. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. My compliments to the cook. Also, many thanks to Maron who became my tour guide of the city!

A newly furbished modern Bed & Breakfast offering you every comfort you could wish for. With off street parking and secure access, Archie’s Place is perfect for business or pleasure offering easy access to highways and airports and close to all the entertainment, bars and restaurants on 7th Street, Melville.
Serviced daily, rooms benefit from their own private entrance through a secure courtyard and have either an ensuite bath with shower or a shower room. Queen size beds are topped with luxury bedding and quality cotton bed linen. With TVs offering MNet, Wi-Fi facilities and ceiling fans, our rooms also have added luxuries such as aperitifs and bathroom toiletries.
Complimentary tea & coffee making facilities are included along with a bar fridge stocked with a selection of soft drinks and snacks available at an extra charge. The Cottage has a kitchenette with microwave, griddle & toaster for self catering requirements and a day bed suitable for a child to sleep.
Breakfast is included in your daily rate and choices include English and Continental styles. Served from 07.00am you can enjoy your selection in your room or in the sunny courtyard.
