Description
Our Vaal Dam guesthouse is situated on a lovely country estate on the Northwestern corner of the Vaal Dam. The location is the closest point of the Vaal Dam to the Vereeniging / Johannesburg area. It is conveniently located on the R54 (Vereeniging / Villiers Road), only 30 km's east of Vereeniging. Our guests are invited to relax at the water's edge under the shade of large weeping willow trees. If you are a water sports lover or enjoy fishing, then this is the place to come and relax.
The guesthouse is ultra large (in excess of 800m²). It is a double storey lodge with kitchen, lounge, dining room, guest toilet on the ground level and three ultra large bedrooms on the top level. The Bedrooms are all en-suite.
Room 1 is equipped with a queen size bed and one single bed. Room 2 is equipped with a double bed. Room 3 is equipped with two single beds. Our guests share the kitchen and living areas with ample space to ensure individual privacy - even when different groups are utilizing the facilities at the same time. DSTV is available in the lounge area. Internet access is also available free of charge upon request.
There is also a large entertainment room adjacent to the Guest House. The facilities include a kitchen, separate ladies/gents ablution, large bar area, outside braai and swimming pool. This building is ideal for conference purposes or small functions. We even sometimes convert this building into a mini-dormitory and it can sleep 6 persons with ease. Depending on your requirements, we will prepare the room to suit your specific needs.
A major feature of the Guest House is its location at the water's edge. It is equipped with a jetty and a slipway as well as multiple camping sites at the water's edge. As previously mentioned, there are lots of trees and the facilities are ideal for water sports, fishing or camping.
