Description

Amaluti, named for its superb position overlooking the golf course, the willow dam, and the rolling hills of the Maluti Mountains, offers spacious accommodation and a peaceful ambience. Trees shield Amaluti from the village and the open-plan design, elegant décor and unique frameless glass walls all enhance the stunning views by bringing the outside in. Amaluti is an easy three-hour drive from Johannesburg, Pietermaritzburg and Bloemfontein.

Guests can either rent the whole house, sleeping up 10 adults or eight adults and four children; the Upper Level, sleeping up to four adults and four children or six adults; or the Lower Level sleeping up to four adults. There are four double en-suite bedrooms, two upstairs and two downstairs, each with its own colour scheme. The rooms have either king-size double beds or twin beds. All have luxurious linen, comfortable mattresses, masses of super soft pillows, down duvets, electric blankets and under-floor heating.

The bathrooms are open plan to the bedrooms and are screened by the bed head walls, which also house the built-in cupboards. They bathrooms have luxury fittings, glass showers, floating basins and matching Perfekt baths. Charlotte Rhys toiletries, luxurious cotton bath sheets and twin dressing gowns complete the ensemble.

The loft upstairs is ideal for children; this area has two three-quarter beds, a double sofa bed and its own shower, basin and toilet. The open-plan kitchen on the upper level is spacious and fitted with all that a chef could want, including a gas hob, an electric oven, a microwave, a wine chiller, a frost-free fridge-freezer, a dishwasher and a water filter. The serving counter gives ready access to the dining table that can seat twelve. Adjacent to this is the bar unit.

The living area is uncluttered, with one seating area around the gas fireplace and the TV with DStv/PVR, and another in front of the folding glass wall providing spectacular, uninterrupted views. Outside is a separate patio with veranda furniture and a gas braai.

Downstairs, in addition to two bathrooms, has a mini kitchen, a sitting area, a TV and gas braai. It has walk-through folding glass doors, which open directly onto the garden and common area next to the golf course. There is a double garage and covered parking for four cars.

Helpful and efficient Jeanette Miya offers cleaning services daily from 8 am to 4 pm. On Sundays this is available until 2 pm.

Clarens is beautiful at any time of the year. Improve your golf, enjoy the scenery, indulge in retail therapy or experience some of the exciting outdoor activities such as white water rafting or quad biking. The village has many fine restaurants, a local brewery and art and craft shops. Cultural visits to local villages can be arranged, as well as visits to the many archaeological and historical sites in the area. 10 km down the road is the Golden Gate National Park, renowned for its wonderful scenery.
