Woodland Gardens

We stayed for 4 days and all round it was good fun but I do have a couple of gripes. We stayed at the Kingfisher cabin (for families), the problem being that it was very close to the main road and the traffic thundered past at all hours of the day and night. The kids room was the closest to the traffic so lots of restless nights. The 2nd big problem was that the cabin's main rooms got extremely hot during the day, I would estimate +- 40 degrees, which was quite unpleasant. Luckily we were out and about all day, it would have been unbearable in that heat otherwise. I would recommend that they install either ceilings and insulation or aircons in the bedrooms. Other than that we had a lovely stay. Lorraine was a lovely hostess, the dogs were great entertainment for the whole family (playing fetch), comfortable beds, beautiful surroundings and funky pool area.

We had a fantastic time. The hosts were great. We had complete privacy. The cabins are very intimate and romantic. Loved the outside bath. Very tranquil environment. All and all a fantastic place to be.

I had a wonderful stay. Woodland Gardens is a real piece of heaven.

Lovely setting, relaxing time! Good welcome and service. Loved the sound of water, the sounds of the forest and birds, the homely atmosphere, the dogs running around. Enjoyed having Patches keeping us company and joining us on our walks - our personal tour guide! Stunning pool area. Unit was neat, tidy and comfortable. One suggestion: re-think the use of space in the kitchen, i.e. bigger fridge needed (didn't have enough space for the food we brought for a three-night stay) and install some cupboards for the crockery (those baskets were not easy to use with glasses and such in them) and for space for guests to store food items.

The place was absolutely fantastic, we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for a wonderful, peaceful, neat and clean place, it's just what we needed.
