Staff were very cool and the food was gorgeous. Great wine list and the best breakfast i have ever seen.
Would definitely go back. Also Conor the guide out to the national park was brilliant. I would whole heartedly recommend this place to anyone.

A mere 45 minutes from Port Elizabeth, and neighbour to the malaria-free Addo Elephant National Park, this award-winning boutique hotel is a tranquil haven from which to explore the true African experience.
Nestled peacefully on a fully functioning citrus farm, the structure was developed from the original farmhouse built in the early 1900’s. The charming ambience and character of yesteryear still permeate the atmosphere at Woodall.
Old world attention to detail blends seamlessly with contemporary African luxury and style as reflected in the raw, earthy magnificence of the architecture.
ACCOMMODATION:
Opening on to the fresh sight and scent of rose or indigenous gardens, the rooms at Woodall are as seeped in luxury as they are in comfort. Each room is spacious, private, and equipped with every convenience from climate control to internet access. Other features include private verandas, en-suite bathrooms, invigorating outdoor showers, mini-bars, sumptuous furnishings, crisp percale linen, bathrobes, telephones, electronic safes and CD players.
Each room is individually designed, making use of natural materials, raw silks, and fascinating décor items collected by the South African owners, on their world travels. Some rooms reflect a bygone era of indulgent romance, some echo authentic colonial style, while the more modern suites boast an Afro-chic feel that blends traditional colours and styles with sophisticated contemporary flair.
There are 6 luxury rooms and 5 ultra-luxe suites available at Woodall. The latter include separate living and dressing areas, and extra length beds.
FOOD:
Dining at Woodall is a culinary delight of local flavours and textures, superbly orchestrated for absolute pleasure.
Karoo venison, freshly caught East Coast fish, home-made stocks, newly-baked bread, and local cheeses all form part of the irresistible menu on offer. The chef’s creative genius is inspired by the unique flavours of freshly picked produce from Woodall’s own herb and vegetable gardens.
The Woodall wine list has earned the Platinum Diners Club Wine List of the Year Award for the past two consecutive years. Stocked with the finest South African wines personally selected by James Miller (the owner), the private underground cellar brings forth the ideal complement to any gourmet meal.
Cocktails, moonlit dinners, and after-dinner drinks and cigars are savoured in the thatched waterside dining area.
Packed breakfasts, picnics, lunches, healthy spa cuisine and specific meal requests are keenly accommodated by the Woodall kitchen.
SPA: The Woodall spa, fringed with palms and water features, is an oasis of utter indulgence and relaxation. Here, guests are pampered by local therapists with world class skills in massage and a comprehensive range of health and beauty treatments.
Facilities include a vitality studio, single or couple therapy suites, a sauna and steam room, hydrotherapy bath, and a salt water pool area in which guests are invited to relax after their treatments.
The spacious gym houses cutting edge cardiovascular and strength training equipment.
