The 8 km hiking trail is highly recommended and truly amazing. It includes mind-boggling rock formations, Bushmen paintings and scenes of Fynbos and Sandstone Mountains. Either fishing can be done at a reed dam with its abundance of weaver birds or 13km further up at our camping spot on the river at Grootfontein campsite. There is Horse riding and golf Course in town.

Village: Citrusdal 5 km away offers lovely coffee shops, steak houses, golf course horse riding and Mountain biking. The village hosts four annual events, which include a golf event, mountain bike event, canoe marathon and a 4x4 weekend. Citrusdal is also the perfect base to explore the West coast with famous open-air restaurants and crayfish festival. Like always a memorable time at Wolfkop

Bernice, thanks a lot for all your help and warm welcome. My favourite spot to come and relax when taking a break from the city life as we could go on the lovely mountainside hike. while at the cottage. The kids could play on the jungle gym while we relaxed in front of the cottage on the verandah. The cottage had everything we needed to relax plus loads more. Love the Jacuzzi at the braai area with views over the river valley. The freshly squeezed orange juice is definitely refreshing ... more

It's a beautiful, place to go to if you want to get a way from it all. The chalet was clean. Only downside was I cant handle bats flying inside the house at night and all the strangest creepy crawly's and spiders. But apart from that it was awesome, we even booked a extra day to stay. Thank you Kobus for all your help, to make our stay, even better.
