Quite stunning!

This was a little piece of heaven - our stay was definitely too short - we will be back for more visits. The scenery and views are breathtaking. There is a sense of peace, with the only sounds being those of the animals and birds.

The location is stunning

We were looking for peace, quite and solitude. At Williamsburg we find them all in ample proportions. The location is stunning being set in the mountains, well "off the beaten track" and at the end of a branch road serving a couple of farms. This is definitely back to the silence of nature and remote farm living. You can hear the valley breath. Kransberg Cottage was homely and contained just about everything one could possibly need. Description

Williamsburg Mountain Reserve is testimony to the unspoilt beauty of the Langkloof Mountains that border the spectacular Prince Alfred Pass. Nestling in a hidden valley, surrounded by lofty mountains this magnificent farm enjoys an old world pace of life. Much of the farm is a working farm, with sheep and cattle grazing on lush pastures. To venture further you will meet inquisitive Springbok or the Grey Rhebok. On our 3000 ha are two charming Cape cottages, fully equipped but retaining the charm and grace of an era passed. Although deceptively quiet with only the birds and insects to disturb your reverie, there is much to do. Game is plentiful and birds are abundant. We also offer walks following streams to lofty outlooks, 30 kms of spectacular 4x4 trails to inspire whether by 4x4 or mountain bike. Trout fish our pristine dams in the early morning to the call of the Fish Eagle . A favourite destination of birders and star gazers or simply a place to listen to your soul. Never a place to forget. Proud member of the Keurbooms Conservancy.
