Wilhelmushoogte Guest Farm is situated halfway between Gauteng and Cape Town, on a beautiful alternative route from the N1. It nestles between the Karoo hills and is a stone’s throw north of the Orange River. It is a perfect halfway stop between Gauteng and the Western Cape, on an alternative route to the busy N1 or N12.
The guest farm is about 5 km from the wall of the second largest dam in South Africa, the Vanderkloof Dam. Wilhelmushoogte is on a game farm with a variety of free-roaming animals such as the sable, bontebok, impala, steenbuck, duiker and mountain reedbuck that you will come across while hiking in the area or climbing the nearby hills.
The guest farm consists of one self-catering farm house with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. A fully equipped kitchen is available, a dining room as well as a large lounge area with no TV for the ultimate escape. There is a nice outdoor braai available and a farm dam to cool off during the summer months.
Activities in the nearby area include hiking, game viewing, birdwatching, fishing, swimming and canoeing. The nearby Vanderkloof Dam offers a variety of different water sports.
