Our lodge is located in a peaceful setting outside the little town of Vaalwater and is just a two-hour drive north of Pretoria. Here guests can marvel at the brilliant stars in the African sky around a roaring fire.

Relax by the swimming pool, go walking or fishing in one of our two dams. Come and appreciate nature and its wonderful sights and sounds.

The lodge has been built to blend in with the surrounding bushveld. The rock and thatch building is beautifully constructed using local materials throughout. We have 10 en-suite rooms to choose from. Make yourself at home.

What a wonderful breakaway for those with a busy lifestyle and busy schedules. It is such a wonderfully peaceful place with superb accommodation and the hosts go out of their way to make sure your every need is met. We will definitely be back.

We were a group of 15 friends and family doing a four day three night tour on both motorbikes and in cars. Wilde Avontuur was a wonderful experience for all 15 of us. The people and staff are extremely friendly, the accommodation is outstanding and the whole atmosphere was perfect. We really enjoyed our one night stay and will definitely return some day. Well done to Wilde Avontuur.
